all the little kiddies in beck's classroom worked on a section of this painting. it's funny because whenever i ask beck which section is his he points to a different one each time.  i don't think i will ever really know.

i went to see FERRABY LIONHEART at THE EMPTY BOTTLE the night before, so i was humming his tunes in the morning. beck was laughing "oh great! now i'm going to have that song in my head all day!" he did. we were both humming the same tune.

party #3

beck's third and final party is over. all i had to do was pay ROBOT CITY WORKSHOP and sit back and relax while they threw the party. :)

the boys built their own robots from scratch, feasted on pizza and fritz cakes and even learned how to do the robot dance. they left happy with two goody bags, a punching balloon, a working robot they proudly built and a huge sugar high. it was a success! my only regret is not taking many photos.

beck gave me my mother's day gifts early. his card was my absolute favorite!

bubble tape thief

my little guy is a thief! the other day i took the beckster grocery shopping with me. as i was loading the car with our bags, i noticed the little dude was covering something bright pink with his hands. "what's that?" i asked. "nothing!" beck said. i peeled his little hands away. my little dude stole bubble tape! i took him by the hand and marched beck right up to the service desk. "i'm SO sorry. we just finished paying for our groceries and i noticed my son stole this gum and we need to pay for it. he also has something to say to you." beck apologized to the lady. then i tell her we are going to pay for the gum, but since beck already opened it i would like her to throw it out because i didn't want to reward him with it. what does the crazy lady say right in front of my son who i am trying to teach a valuable lesson to? "uh, are you sure?!" "YES, i'm sure!" i say. "i'm not going to reward him after he stole from your store." she then looked at beck "that doesn't seem fair now does it?" then back at me. "are you sure, mom?" i wanted to reach over the counter and strangle the women for ruining my parenting moment. grrrrrrrr! darn, bubble tape. i hate gum.

for some reason tonight i had the urge to cover my bike helmet with vintage GARBAGE PAIL KIDS stickers. i just spread all the cards on the couch like it was nothing. beck freaked out! i wasn't thinking at all. the poor little dude was terrified. sometimes i can be the worst mom ever. :(
