boys are gross

my son is the sweatiest person i have ever met. it seems he only sweats from his head. i don't get it. thank goodness he isn't smelly. beck is just a sweat monster. today after the rain somebody asked "you must have got caught in the rain?" i just smiled instead of responding with the truth. :)

at least beck looked cool all sweaty rockin this awesome t-shirt. 

he insisted on taking this picture on our walk to the bank. my sweat monster has a great eye. 

K graduation and play

this morning my little man graduated from kindergarten. sniff sniff. well, they had a ceremony and mother goose play, but technically he has three more weeks of kindergarten left. weird. anyway, all the little kiddies were absolutely adorable. 

beck tried sneaking this little guy to school with him today.

beck in his sheep costume. i hot glued what felt like 1,000,000 cotton balls to a t-shirt. you could see a cotton ball trail following beck wherever he went. i found the mask online. it looks way scarier in person than it did online. yikes! i didn't have the heart to tell beck his mask terrifies me. :)

beck with his best buddies. they may get in a TON of trouble together, but they are all super-duper awesome kids.

this morning beck bust into the bathroom and shut the water off while i was brushing my teeth. "mom! it's not good for the earth to keep the water running like that! you should know that!"

5/24/11

this morning we had a few extra minutes to hang out before school and work, so we hung out on the porch and played with CONKY from PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE. my mornings with beck are the best.

beck asked if we could drive to school today instead of walk so we could listen to PA PA POWER by DEAD MAN'S BONES. i had errands to run with the car anyway, so i didn't feel too guilty driving. as i kissed beck goodbye he said to me "now make sure when you pick me up today that you have that song ready again." beck has been so obsessed with that song lately. i love his little obsessions and it's so fun watching them change. who knows what will be next.

i made beck these little cut off shorts from his old jeans. he was totally embarrassed by them at first. personally i think they're da bomb. beck looks adorable and they were free. i noticed target is selling shorts exactly like these under SHAUN WHITE'S brand for $17.  i decided to call them THE SHAUN WHITE SHORTS, so now beck wants to wear them daily. 

we ended our day with some sketching. i just love this book. tonight we drew an elephant, tiger and leopard. beck says tomorrow we are sketching an alligator and bat. i can't wait!

date night

beck and i had an awesome date night!

we started the date off right with pop rocks!

we stopped by a bookstore and purchased THE DAY JIMMY'S BOA ATE THE WASH and a super awesome magnetic robot set. 

then we headed over to beck's favorite restaurant CHEN'S. we even ordered an appetizer and dessert. we left happy and with super-duper full bellies. 

we ended our date with a trip to target. i bought a lame watch for my marathon training and beck came home with an awesome sand and water toy. i was jealous. :)
