mimi & pawpaw come to chicago

mimi and pawpaw came to visit us this weekend! we were pumped! mimi comes to visit us quite a bit, but pawpaw has only once or twice. the first day we took pawpaw to WRIGLEYVILLE DOGS so he could get a chicago dog. then we stopped by FRITZ PASTRY to show him where i work. we spent the rest of our day thirfting, relaxing at home, dinner at UNCOMMON GROUND, went out for icecream, listened to pawpaw explain to beck what a banana split is and obsess over it, and had a PERFECT STRANGERS mini marathon. we ended our day by visiting with aunt bethy in peru via skype. we miss her a ton.  

we spent the early part of this morning hanging out on our back deck, drinking coffee, eating pastries and spying on and laughing at our drunk neighbors. we then headed over to MILLENIUM PARK, caught a little of the air and water show and ate mexican food until our bellies felt like they were going to burst. we were definitely sad to see them go. 

pawpaw made a bet with beck that he couldn't guess which sculpture was pawpaw's favorite. beck won.
